Disenfranchised Grief with Ken Doka, PhD

Clinicians are familiar with serving bereaved individuals and families. Less common are families who are experiencing disenfranchised grief – a grief that is so taboo it can’t be discussed. This program will look at the definition of disenfranchised grief, how it manifests in family members, and how to provide interventions to those experiencing it, moving them from a position of complicated grief, to a position of healing.

Free to attend, but registration in advance is required.
2 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) offered to counselors, social workers, nurses, and funeral directors.
