PUNK TRIPLE FEATURE
Grab your overpriced popcorn and limited edition sippy cup and settle in for a night of overly loud, extremely punky punk music.
Top billing of the night goes to self proclaimed “Riff Farmers” Hoick. A Hoick styled picture is one that hits the concrete hard and fast and never stops to let you reflect upon how gorgeous the cinematography is before hitting you over the head with another riff. Think “Speed” because Hoick are the band that can’t slow down.
Second billed are 3 Horse Race coming all the way down from the big city to make their out of town debut with us at Ōkahukura. While they might have the word horse in their name these punks bear no resemblance to the beloved Horse Girl film genre. No, their songs are more horse by way of The Godfather, having a high impact with a very small amount of screen time. Look it up, I promise it makes sense.
Te Puke youngsters Punkuation fill out the cast and as always will be providing a high energy set to start the night off and give you a taste of what’s to come. You know that 20 minutes of ads and trailers you don’t sit through anymore since the invention of Netflix ? Like that but really good! Like so damn good. Like I wish I was that cool in college good. Are any of these similes and metaphors even making any sense ? Ask Punkuation I guess, I just like movies.
