Tree Walk at səmiq̓ʷəʔelə/Riverview!

Everyone is invited to join the Riverview Horticultural Centre Society (RHCS) on Sunday July 20, from 1 - 3 pm for a free guided Tree Walk on the səmiq̓ʷəʔelə/Riverview Lands.
Come see some of the spectacular trees at the Riverview Arboretum.
Meet at Serenity Garden near the entrance of the Henry Esson Young (HEY) Building, prior to 1pm. Parking is available at the northwest corner of the HEY Building. Bring your own water and dress for comfort as walks go rain or shine. Please note, there is a portable washroom provided by RHCS on-site.
Signs will be posted throughout the site to direct you to the rendezvous location.

This tree walk will be led by the extremely popular and renowned Douglas Justice!
Douglas Justice is the Associate Director of Horticulture and Collections at UBC Botanical Garden. A respected botanist and educator, he specializes in ornamental trees like maples, rhododendrons, and cherries. He teaches in UBC’s horticulture and landscape architecture programs and is the author of The Jade Garden and co-author of Ornamental Cherries in Vancouver. Justice is also known for his public outreach and was awarded the American Rhododendron Society’s Silver Medal for his contributions to horticulture.
