Senior Session: KU Reads and Spencer Museum’s Common Work of Art

Each year the Spencer Museum pairs an artwork with the KU Reads book selection. Deputy Director Celka Straughn will discuss Hollis Sigler’s painting “Haunted by the Ghosts of Our Own Making” and themes that connect with the 2025–2026 book “The Anthropocene Reviewed” by John Green. 📖

Senior Sessions are designed with accommodations for older adults and open to all.

Admission to this event and to the Spencer is free for everyone, always. Free parking is available in designated spaces on the first level of the Mississippi Street garage across from the Museum. Check in at our Welcome Desk with your license plate number for parking validation. 🚗
