Tim Newton sings, writes, and plays guitar with the weight and urgency of man playing for his overdue mortgage money.
Born and raised in the farm country of upstate New York, he transplanted to Middle Tennessee after first recording here over 10 years ago. He has written and recorded several rock and alternative albums with multiple projects, working with multiplatinum producers and engineers. However, he has always chosen to maintain his family and his work as a health care professional, remaining an independent musician. Now, after releasing an alternative rock album with 8 Fathom Flood in 2024, he is again playing acoustic singer songwriter shows as well. No matter the format, Newton always delivers raw, heart-felt performances of original and choice cover songs that connect and engage an audience with musical escape.
