The Color of Fear, The Conversation Continues

30th Anniversary Showing

On August 16, UUCE will join others across the country in celebrating the anniversary of the making of this film. Our evening will begin with a potluck at the church to be followed by a viewing of this film and a discussion. Doors open at 4:30pm, dinner at 5pm, and film at 6:15pm.

When this unscripted film first aired, it was declared to be honest and frank as it must be to discuss real issues involving race. A few months later, Oprah aired a special showing the film followed by a discussion. Over 15 million people viewed it. Today this discussion is needed as much as it was then, perhaps more as we face the demise of affirmative action and diversity training as well as the banning of books. To date, over 30 million have seen it.

Please plan to join us for the potluck, and if you cannot stay for the film, that's okay. We are hopeful that many of you will join us, and others all over the country, in giving our attention. Bring your friends.
