The Lipinsky Family San Diego Jewish Arts Festival and TuYo Theatre present the First Annual Poderosas:
Through personal stories, music, and photographs, this inspiring performance honors the strength, creativity, and excellence of six remarkable local women. Poderosas invites audiences to witness the community impact of women whose work spans activism, public service, the arts, education, healing, and cultural preservation.
This year's honorees are: Jade Power Sotomayor, Diana Cornejo-Sanchez, Mary Salas, Rocina Lizarraga, Berenice Badillo, and Celina Grippo.
"Poder" means "power", "might", "ability". These six honorees are the embodiment of "poderosas": women with power.
An afternoon of joy, resilience, and orgullo. This event is a tribute to the powerful mujeres who give their all to our San Diego community.
Portraying these remarkable women are: Roxane Carrasco, Carla Navarro, Analia Romero, Erika Toraya, Hannah Trujillo, and Valeria Vega.
