Join us for an evening of Lindy Hop, Charleston, Shim Sham Shimmy Workshops. TUESDAY, AUGUST 12. Your instructor and dance guru is Wesley Boz.
DOORS OPEN AT 6:15 PM to register.
6:45 PM: Advance Beginner Social Lindy Hop Moves. (Knowing your 8 count lindy hop basics will be needed to join this class)
In this hour, we'll put together a choreographed - 32 beat dance sequence. Easy, leadable moves you can use on the social dance floor.
7:45 PM: Shim Sham Shimmy Swing Line Dance. (no prior swing experience for this class)
Learn the popular tap swing line dance that is done all over the world at lindy hop dances.
8:15 - 9:15 PM: Side By Side Charleston Moves. (Knowing some foundation 6 & 8 count swing is recommended but not mandatory to join this class). Add some easy charleston kicking patterns to your east coast swing lindy hop dancing in this hour.
COST: Public $10 Each Workshop.
Carolina Dance Club Members $7 Each Workshop.
Students (14-24 yrs) $5 Each Workshop.
Pay at the door. NO ONLINE REGISTRATION.
PARKING: Enter from the Creedmoor road entrance. Park on the left hand side of the parking lot. Follow the signs to the registration door. Free parking. Dress is casual. Air conditioned venue.
