"The History of Radio in South Dakota: Radio’s Role in the Great Depression, World War II, and Today"
This program is through the SD Humanities Council Speakers Bureau. Marilyn Carlson Aronson will answer such questions as: How do we understand radio’s history in America? What effect did radio have during the Great Depression and World War II? How did radio come to South Dakota, what was its role in the Sioux Falls Air Corps Radio School? She will touch on radio's role today and discuss whether podcasting is replacing it.
Feed Your Minds are held on the first Friday of each month, and there is a free-will donation to attend. The one-hour event will be held on the second floor of the Mead Building, 82 Mickelson Dr in Yankton, SD.
