Motueka Churches Donation Drive for Flood Affected Families

We invite all residents of Motueka and the surrounding area to join forces in a united donation drive organized by the local churches of Motueka to support families who have been severely affected by the recent flooding. Many have lost everything and are in urgent need of help.

We are calling for donations of:

Clothing and shoes (clean and in good condition)

Household items and kitchenware

Bedding and linen

Furniture

Gift vouchers for 2–5 hours of help (e.g., garden work, cleaning, small repairs on their property)

When:
Saturday, 19 July 2025
Where: Motueka Rec Center

9:00am – 10:00am: Drop-off of donated goods at the Motueka Rec Center

9:30am – 12:00am: Sorting of donations

12:00pm – 4:00pm: Affected families are welcome to come and pick up what they need

Important for furniture donors:
If you wish to donate furniture, please display it outside on your trailer in the Rec Center parking area.
