Little People Community Project - Information Session

Showtown is exploring the history of little people in Blackpool. We are keen to engage with little people and those with first-hand experience of the community.

We are enhancing the understanding and knowledge of our internationally significant Blackpool Tower Circus Collection.

As part of the project, we want to bring together a group of people with shared interest in exploring this history and the representation of little people in our collections.

We are looking for people who want to commit to the project over a period of four months in the autumn and winter of 2025. The project will provide a safe space to explore historical narratives around dwarfism.

You will delve deeper into Showtown’s collection and take an active role in helping audiences engage with our collections in new ways, seeing the history of little people through your eyes.
