Note the time difference—this is in the evening. This Third Saturday Bird Walk will actually be a "Dam Sit" at the Fabridam on the Snyder County side of the river. Don't ask us why they spell it "Fabridam." We don't make the rules. See the pin in the map. Plenty of parking.
We'll be meeting out along the fish ladder with scopes and binoculars before dusk waiting for the incoming Great Egrets who roost near the bridge and hoping to see some night herons and other late season curiosities as well.
The breeding season is coming to an end for several species, but it's great time of the year to look for the young birds in this pre-migration period.
All skill levels of birders are welcome, including beginners. Bring binoculars if you have them. We'll have a few extras on hand if you don't. Please reach out to the library at 570-374-6173 if you need a ride.
