This course is a Caregiver Training (TBRI-Caregiver Training) is an intervention intended for caregivers of children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or other trauma. This is an 8-class series.
This interactive program is conducted in person by certified practitioners and follows an attachment-based and trauma-informed approach. The goal of TBRI-Caregiver Training is to equip parents and caregivers with the necessary tools to support these children effectively.
The training centers around three key principles:
(1) TBRI Connecting Principles, which aim to establish trust and positive relationships between caregivers and children
(2) TBRI Empowering Principles, which address children's physical and environmental needs and enhance their self-regulation skills
(3) TBRI Correcting Principles, which enhance children's social competencies.
