Alabama Chapter Fall Retreat at Camp McDowell. If you plan to attend, you may now reserve your lodging and meals. We are accepting payment by check only.
Lodging options:
Bethany Cabins--$30/night. Multiple beds in large room. Bring your own single sheets, blanket, soap and towels.
Miller Commons Lodge--$140/ per night. Single room with 2 queen-size beds for 1 -4 people.
Meals:
Meals are all $10 per meal. Breakfast is served at 8 am, lunch at 12 noon and dinner is at 6pm.
Dinner is served Friday night at 6 pm in the dining hall, however, we are planning to have a fire pit on Friday night. The camp does not supply food items for outdoor cooking so you may choose to bring your own hotdogs for roasting, drinks, marshmallows, etc. The firepit may also be enjoyed for those who choose to eat in the dining hall.
Other:
Alcohol is allowed per BYOB.
Check in time is Friday at 4 pm and check out is Sunday at 10 am. You may stay for all or only part of the retreat.
The full weekend includes lodging for 2 nights and 5 meals--Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast. You may choose to include fewer meals.
We will have presentations throughout the weekend, a general membership meeting, guided meditation and hikes, and a social will be planned for Saturday night-- all details TBA.
No pets allowed
Spouses or others may attend if going with a member of the Alabama Chapter and will need to pay for their lodging and meals.
Bring bug spray, hiking shoes and other for outdoor activities and organized hikes.
Bring lightweight camping chairs if desired for the firepit or other use.
Watch your emails later this month for a form you can print and mail with your check.
Availability of lodging and meals is on a first come first serve basis.
