Step into the vibrant world of Mithila art (also known as Madhubani), an intricate and deeply symbolic folk art tradition from Bihar, India.

What’s included (~ 10 hours)
- The origins and evolution of Mithila art
Natural motifs: flora, fauna, border designs, and pattern work.
- Information about the various techniques - Kachni (line work), Bharni (color fill) and Godna (tattoo-inspired motifs)
- Hands-on sessions guided by master Mithila artist, Mahalaxmi Karn
- Composition, planning, and creating your own Mithila style artwork
- Q&A and discussions on caste lineages and the socio-cultural fabric of the artform
