Come out for a late-afternoon bird walk at Middlefork Savanna Forest Preserve and stay for a post-walk refreshment on a midsummer evening. We'll hope for a clear night so we can enjoy a lovely sunset across the preserve. Consider bringing along a folding chair to set up in Elawa Park near the lot. Middlefork is known for a wide variety of habitats that support a diversity of breeding birds each summer. It is also a standout location for gorgeous native plants so we will truly be in for a treat!
