William Shakespeare - Twelfth Night

We will be setting Twelfth Night in the heart of the 1920's, shining a light on the lively, drunken state of society. Olivia is the daughter of the once-feared--now dead--Consigliere for the Italian Mob. We find her mourning the death of both her father and brother in the depths of her estate, which rests on top of a speakeasy that Orsino frequents. Being a Capo for the Italian Mob himself, Orsino is in need of a new soldier to assist him in the courtship of Olivia. Enter Viola....or should I say, Cesario. Viola has just survived a shipwreck on the coast of the Hudson river and is led to believe that her brother, Sebastian, has died in the tragic shipwreck. Fearing for her life in the terrifying territory of Illyria, she disguises herself as a young man and quickly fills in as Orsino's new soldier.

With a host of enthusiastic and bombastic characters, the course of events that play out are both absurd and fantastic!
