KEEPING UP APPEARANCES

“The Bouquet residence… the Lady of the House speaking!”
When everyone’s favourite social climber, Hyacinth Bucket (“pronounced Bouquet”) hears that the lead role is yet to be cast in a murder mystery play for the local amateur dramatic society, nothing will stop her from taking centre-stage.
However, the play’s director – long-suffering neighbour Emmet – has other ideas. Much to Hyacinth’s dismay, the cast consists of her sisters; hopeless romantic Daisy and ever-lustful Rose, not to mention her bone-idle brother-in-law Onslow and senile Daddy! “…You know I love my family, but that’s no reason why I should have to acknowledge them in broad daylight!”
The smell of the greasepaint and roar of the crowd soon sours with hysterically disastrous results… not what Hyacinth needs when she has so many people to impress!
One of the nation’s most beloved sitcoms, Roy Clarke’s evergreen comedy finally makes the transition from the small screen to the Lamproom Theatre stage in this HILARIOUS comedy of manners.
