Rotokare Pest Monitoring - High Risk Zone - Tracking Cards OUT

Biosecurity is one of the most important things we do at Rotokare, ensuring the sanctuary remains pest free and safe for our native wildlife. We do regular monitoring to check we are free of pest animals, and follow up on anything we find!

From Sunday, July 20th, we will be putting out tracking cards across the high risk zones in the sanctuary. We're trying to cover as much of this as we can in one hit to give us a really good snapshot of what's going on so we need your help!

There are a range of different lines to suit a range of abilities and fitness levels. Training will be given on the day as required

Please bring good footwear for uneven surfaces (its wet and slippery in the bush, and can be steep in places), a rain coat, warm clothes (which you don't mind getting dirty), a drink and plenty of enthusiasm!

Our working bee runs from 8:45am-1230 with lunch provided afterwards (Please RSVP for catering purposes).

This is a great way to see different parts of the reserve and meet some of the awesome plants and animals which call Rotokare home.

Cards will be coming back in from Sunday 27th July, and we'd love your help bringing all the cards back in :)
