Spend a day at the wheel learning how to judge clay proportions, clay preparation and the essential steps for throwing tall shapes.

This throwing workshop focuses on achieving height in thrown forms and all the necessary steps, techniques and tools needed to achieve this. Through one-to-one teaching and demos, you will learn the processes needed to make taller forms such as jugs, vases, bottles, cylinders and tall pots. You will gain confidence and understanding in the essential steps and tools needed to achieve height and shape in throwing.

The main focus in this workshop is height and the shapes that can emerge from tall cylinders. Emphasis will be on clay proportions, pulling up and using tools to finish forms in various shapes..
