OPEN CHARITY SPARRING
On behalf of the TKO ELITE GYM and Star Kickboxing I would like to invite all our members and friends to come along on SATURDAY 9TH AUGUST to attend our open charity sparring day in support of CANCER RESEARCH, a cause close to the hearts of both of us and our families.
My wife Wendy recently lost her beautiful Mum and I lost a wonderful Mother in law to this awful disease. She was a truly beautiful woman at the heart of her family who will forever be missed. Leigh and Paul Haworth also lost their wife and mother Lin in recent years to cancer as well. Everyone who went to our events at the Casino Rooms will I’m sure remember her well, she was loved by everyone that knew her.
This day will be held in memory of these wonderful and much loved women but, sadly all of us will more than likely be affected in one or another by cancer and so we ask everyone to come along and join us and help to raise much needed money for Cancer Research
How will it work?
Very simply the day will be open to EVERYONE age 12 and above. Boxing, K1, Full contact kickboxing, makes no difference, ALL stand up styles are welcome and as we always do we will make it work. All we ask is that on arrival you kindly donate £10 (feel free to donate more) and ALL proceeds will go to Cancer Research
What level of experience do you need?
Absolutely ANY level is fine. The atmosphere on the day will be SUPER friendly, everyone helping each other learn and have FUN whilst supporting a great cause. Sparring will be STRICTLY supervised as we want everyone to have a good time.
PLEASE wear appropriate sparring equipment. Minimum 14oz sparring gloves, gum shields, head gear compulsory for all under 18’s, advisory for everyone else
Won’t there be a lot of people in the gym?
We certainly hope so, we want it PACKED! However, as we have done at past events WE WILL MAKE IT WORK. Leave that to us, you just enjoy the sparring.
Where it will be?
Venue is the TKO ELITE GYM, Unit 2 Dajen Business Park, Second Ave, ME4 5AU. You can book in from 12pm and we will start at 1pm.
And then we will spar, EVERYONE will get plenty of rounds, it’s going to be a great opportunity to LEARN, have a good time, but most importantly support a great cause. A FRIENDLY atmosphere is guaranteed, SMILES everywhere, no competition, just LEARNING and supporting each other
