FREE EVENT! Come out and enjoy an evening of original music by one of your own! You are invited to be part of a LIVE audience recording at the historic James E. Webb Musical Repair & Sales Shop for local songwriter Catrina Vargo’s first professional music project! The set performed at this event will be turned into a debut album for this independent artist; while also serving as a demo to pitch to major recording artists. All songs are original; written, sang, played and performed solo by this Lawrence Co. KY country girl.

Vargo’s signature song, “Hillbilly Buckeye,” has just been accepted by the Appalachian Literary & Arts Storytelling Festival in Nelsonville, OH, to be performed in October. One of her poems, “Mamaw’s Kitchen,” was also selected by ALAS in the Appalachian Foodways category. She just completed her latest song and will be singing it publicly for the first time at this July 18th event.

Show your support for a local writer/musician while you step back in time and take in the atmosphere of a by-gone era at an old country store turned music shop! Complimentary concessions will be provided, as well as a chance to win cash & prizes! Located at 1213 Milo Rd., Tomahawk, KY.
(3 miles off Rt. 645, Martin Co).
