Following the screening, Louise will take part in a live Q&A, offering further insight into her research, the women who shaped the tradition, and her own journey as a piper and filmmaker.

Louise Mulcahy hails from a distinguished musical family in County Limerick, Ireland, deeply rooted in the tradition of uilleann piping. Her father, Mick Mulcahy, is a highly respected and influential figure in Irish traditional music, renowned as a skilled accordion player. Growing up surrounded by such musicality has profoundly shaped her artistic identity and her deep understanding of Irish traditional music.
