Free microchipping of your Companion Animal

Have your dog microchipped free of charge.
Lithgow Council Rangers and Lithgow’s Animal Shelter staff will be on hand at Emora Park, Landa street, to check if your dog has a microchip and also check if the details are up to date. If there is no microchip, we will happily implant a microchip on the day free of charge.
Council end of year stats has revealed an alarming number of dogs and cats that could not be returned to their owner due to outdated information on the microchip or no microchip at all.
Staff will not be able to microchip cats on the day, but please talk to us about having your cat microchipped in a secure location at the shelter
