Spoken Word at Roethke

Calling all Saginaw-area Spoken Word poets--new poets, experienced poets, even those who love spoken word but don't consider themselves poets yet! Join Floet and Miss Jones for an evening of writing and sharing our work. This month's theme is, "The Power of Poetry Companionship: The relationship with your writing."

We'll also talk about the upcoming slam at Hoyt Library on September 10 and how Roethke can help you prepare for the event, including a performance/stage presence workshop with an experienced slam poet from Lansing and a practice session at the house.

Light dinner provided. Free and open to the public. Doors open at 6pm. Workshop begins at 6:30. Please arrive by 6:30 so that we can all start together. All levels of experience welcome.
