Kayak Rescue Skills Class (North Shore Yacht Club)

Take your paddling skills up a notch or two with this clinic that will focus on the rescue techniques required if you capsize. The clinic will reinforce the Assisted Rescue learned in the Introduction to Kayaking course, and will introduce other methods of getting back into the kayak quickly and safely, including Self-Rescue maneuvers (with and without a paddle float). Gain confidence in your paddling and build your safety toolbox!
Classes are taught by volunteer NSYC Instructors certified by the American Canoe Association.

Kayak classes are open to NSYC Full and Paddle Members ages 13 and up. Children 13 to 17 must take the class with an adult member.
Participants must be NSYC Members prior to Registration.
