A Labor Day weekend to remember in Muir Woods:

WHAT WE'LL ENJOY πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³

🌲🌲🌲 Walk among ancient giants in one of the last remaining old-growth coastal redwood forests

🐞🐌🐿️ Wildlife watching: look for banana slugs, ladybugs (hopefully), deer, chipmunks, owls and more forest friends

πŸ¦‹πŸ›πŸ¦— Bug hunting adventures with tiny catching kits

πŸŽ¨πŸƒπŸŒΏ Create nature art with beetle bark patterns, leaves and forest treasures

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸŒ‰πŸͺ΅ Adventure β€˜obstacle course’ through the forest floor: bridges for littles to run over, tree stumps, logs + caves to explore and more!

πŸ“šπŸ”πŸŒ± Learn about forest ecology, conservation efforts and the history of this special place

πŸ†βπŸŽ–οΈ Earn nature explorer badges and stickers for discoveries

πŸ—ΊοΈπŸŒ²Itinerary for the drive!

πŸ”πŸ—ΊοΈEnjoy a scavenger hunt with your kids and educational activities for families

πŸŽ¨πŸ–οΈ Toy and arts-and-craft station for the kids when we're not out adventuring

πŸ”₯🍫 Enjoy classic camping fun: Campfire, stories, s'mores, stargazing and quality time away from screens

🫢🏿🫢🏾🫢🏽 Community, friendship and support: Instant 'playdate' for your kiddos! We usually have kids from toddlers up to tweens join, with all of the kids playing together! You might see old MMH friends + hopefully make some new ones, too! MMH offers all kinds of support: Need help setting up your tent? Solo parenting on the adventure and need some extra support? We got you!

This is our idea of SUMMER CAMP for kids, but it's for families and we get to explore different campgrounds and parks! You will make wonderful memories with your family and friends πŸ•οΈβ€οΈπŸ«‚πŸ€²πŸ½!!

NOTE: The campsite is on a hillside. Campers will have to walk about 0.25 miles from the parking lot up a bumpy, gravelly road with their gear. A wagon is recommended; Miranda can share hers. Otherwise, you can walk up the hillside through the trees (not gravelly) to the campsite but using a wagon would be very challenging.
