Arkansas Sportscasters and Sportswriters Hall of Fame announces 2025 class and special recognition!
Longtime media fixtures Kermit Womack and Leland Barclay are the newest members of the Arkansas Sportscasters and Sportswriters Hall of Fame. They will be recognized at a luncheon in Springdale on July 31 at the Home 2 Suites by Hilton as part of the Hawgs Illustrated Sports Club luncheon series. At the same luncheon, Jim Borden will be presented with the Hall of Fame's first Mike Harrison Excellence in Sports Media Award.
Each year the Arkansas Sportscasters and Sportswriters Hall of Fame elects new members in each category. The Mike Harrison Excellence in Sports Media Award was created to recognize individuals who work in sports but do not fit the traditional definition of a sportswriter or a sportscaster. Harrison founded the Arkansas Sportscasters and Sportswriters Hall of Fame.
