St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Council Bluffs, IA, is once again hosting the IDW Council Bluffs Circuit's annual Concordia Theological Seminary Ft Wayne Continuing Education Class.
This year's course "Get the Message Straight, Missouri. Get the Message Out, Missouri."
will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2025, through Friday, August 8, 2025.
Instructor Rev. Dr. Cameron MacKenzie will be discussing these words from the sainted A. L. Barry, president of the LCMS from 1992 to 2001, are a fundamental theme in the synod's self-understanding from the time of its founding to the present. This course, a brief summary of the synod's history, will test that theme by looking at significant personalities and critical moments that have marked the synodical story for more than 175 years.
Classes will begin with Matins each day beginning at 8:30am. The final day ends at 12:00pm.
This course is graciously sponsored by the Council Bluffs Circuit.
Coffee and rolls are provided each morning and lunch is provided for free each day at noon.
