On Saturday 19th July, the gardens at Cairo Street Unitarian Chapel will be open from 10am to 5.30pm. It is an opportunity for many people to visit what many people refer to as the hidden gem of Warrington.

It is full of many attractive and unusual plants and shrubs. The Burial ground contains many tombstones and vaults, including an obelisk erected in memory of William and Ann Robson who, along with other members of the congregation, established the Warrington Anti-Slavery Society. William visited America where he met many abolitionists, one of whom, Sarah Parker Remond, came to Warrington and spoke to packed meetings on the abolitionist cause.
