Computer classes are back in session at Blasco Library! These classes are designed for beginning computer users and those new to technology.

All class descriptions are provided below, visit events.erielibrary.org to find the class meeting dates.

Intro to Computers I

Designed for someone just starting to learn computer skills or those needing to fill in the blanks after using a computer for a while: skills includes purchasing a computer/laptop, keyboarding, using mouse/touchpad, navigation, etc

Continued from Part I Skills include working with WiFi, the internet, and browsers among other topics.


Intro to Windows I

Designed to help someone navigate their windows computer: learn to customize and create shortcuts, recycle bin, the desktop, basic windows pc maintenance, security, internet favorites, how to install and uninstall programs, and among other topics.

Working with Files and Folders

Designed to help someone organize their windows computer: saving, using "save as", creating new folders, organizing existing folders, email attachments, flash drives, back up files, among other topics.

Working with YOUR Laptop

Designed to help someone learn the basics about their own laptop computer: function buttons, wifi, ports, and security among other topics. Bring your own laptop to class – if you don’t have a laptop – one to use will be provided

Designed to help someone do the basics of word processing with Microsoft Word: learn ribbons, font formatting, margins, tab stops, outlines, borders, headers/footers, among other topics.

Intro to Excel I

Designed to help someone do the basics of spreadsheets with Microsoft Excel: cells, formulas, titles, borders, formatting, charts, graphs, and spreadsheet navigation, among other topics.

An advanced class to streamline mailings with Word and Excel: labels, envelopes, and personalized letters among other topics.
