Join us for a free Concert at St. John's church for a program tracing the development of the guitar; lute and viheula repertoire from the Renaissance; music of the Romantic and early Classical erasand music from the modern era, featuring works by Narvaez, Dowland, Vivaldi, Sor, Tarrega, and music from South Americas. Original compositions written for the artist by Bob Powell and Tom LLohr.
This program will include informal descriptions of the history and music of the guitar and lute (vihuela).
Three instruments will be played in the concert:
Lute
Romantic guitar in the style of Torres
Modern Spanish guitar of Granada.
A reception will follow. Come for the music, stay for the fellowship!
