πΎπ₯ The first annual, "The Switch," Tennis Tournament will take place at Mirror Lake Racquet Club in Mobile, Alabama - on August 2nd, 2025 from 12:00 pm (ish) - until. We will have 2 divisions:
πΎ Mixed or Traditional Doubles Teams Levels 2.5 - 3.0
πΎ Mixed or Traditional Doubles Teams Levels 3.5 & Up
π€ The CAVEAT: ONE player on every doubles team must use a traditional wooden tennis racquet & the other player, a more modern frame (graphite, Kevlar, Basalt, et al.) π₯BANG, POW, LET'S GOOOOO!. **Teams can switch ad nauseum as long as one player has a wooden racquet on the field of play once the matches begin.
π Matches will be timed. 25 minutes per match. Round Robin Format. Feel free to bring friends, adult beverages, or whatever makes you have a Supercalifradulousbexbealidocious Day! At the days completion, (when us old timers get tired π€£π₯) we will add up games won & overall records and crown the champions.
πΎ A one day tennis : Swap/Community Gathering/ Party/ Fitness/ Fun/ Friendships/Competition and a a little Smack Talk filled day.
π€ All ages are welcomed & Encouraged!Just make sure that they are rated within USTA perameters in said divisions.
πΈπ»π₯© Bring grills, food, drink of choice, pets, positive vibes and the like. Jam bands feel free to set up in the meadow. βοΈ
