A Haiku Death Match is a competitive poetry duel that is a subgenre of poetry slam.
The original Haiku is a form of Japanese poetry. In this slam, we will take 17 syllables or less any which way they flow. Poets will read haikus head-to-head before judges in a tournament elimination. Poets should have at least 30 previously written haikus to compete.
The winner of the competition will take home a $50 book certificate from Woodland Pattern!
