Summer Fun Nights Series - Storytelling

This Thursday, July 17 the ICA invites you to come down to the community centre for a casual evening hang-out with your neighbours.

Bring down a picnic, a blanket and your chairs. Grab a sweet, salty or frozen treat and a cool drink from the bar and concession (cash and cards accepted). And if you're into it, participate in a story-telling workshop hosted by Indigenous stortyteller, Chantal Chagnon, https://www.cree8.ca/.

Chantal will share her own stories, lead a tour around the ICA grounds to connect with the land, and support you in learning how to tell your own stories.

If you can't make it this week, we'll have another event on Thursday, July 31 featuring Flamenco artist and teacher, Honey Sturdy.

Then one last event in the series on Thursday, Aug 14 where we'll invite you to share your stories and talents with the community and to make a button to celebrate our great neighbourhood in your own way.

If you're interested in coming, it's all drop-in, so just show up. And if you prefer to have a job in these situations, I could also use the help of a few volunteers each night.
