Greg Sestero, Mark from The Room, returns to PhilaMOCA for a night of Room-related hilarity! First up will be a live script reading of select scenes from the original version of the film's script featuring Greg and audience members, then we'll screen the film with Greg providing live commentary for select scenes. Greg Sestero is the New York Times best-selling author of the The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room, The Greatest Bad Movie Ever Made and co-star of the cult classic The Room. Greg also wrote and produced Best F(r)iends Volume 1 and 2, in which he reunited on-screen with The Room mastermind Tommy Wiseau, wrote and directed the 2021 thriller Miracle Valley, and is currently working on an alien abduction film titled Forbidden Sky.
Greg's 2013 memoir was published by Simon & Schuster and adapted into a Golden Globe-winning film by Warner Bros and A24. It showcased an all-star cast including James Franco, Seth Rogan, Dave Franco, Sharon Stone, Bryan Cranston, and Alison Brie. The film received an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay in 2018.
