Commemoration Service for Pvt. Richard Gordon Wright, U.S. Marine

Please join us in honoring the life and sacrifice of U.S. Marine Pvt. Richard Gordon Wright, who gave his life during the Battle of Tarawa on November 20, 1943. After more than 80 years, Pvt. Wright has been identified and is finally returning home to Oklahoma.

A commemoration service will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
