Marion Old Fashioned Days

Come enjoy an entire weekend of fun! There’s something for every age! Old Fashioned Days kicks off with a demotion derby at 7pm Thursday at the fairgrounds. Our vendors begin lining the streets Friday, then at 4 the fire department will have free kids games. There will be live music right downtown and then the Cruise in starts at 5pm all along Main Street. Get registered now for our huge cornhole tournament that takes place Friday evening after the cruise in. Saturday is jam packed with vendors and events from morning until night. Children’s parade, grand parade, firefighter water-ball competition, kids games, carnival ride, watermelon eating contest, 3 on 3, softball tournament, 5K, arm wrestling, annual car show at the timber Rose, inflatable costume race, duck race, 50/50, tug of war, greased pig, and more! There will be live music at the Eagles and the Horseshoe Bar Friday night. More live music Saturday at the Olde Mill Venue, in the evening at the park, the Eagles club and a live band right on Main Street at 8pm. Don’t miss the fireworks show right on the Mill pond then the glow party afterwards on Main Street! Our local restaurants will all be open and excited to serve you. There are several locally owned shops all along Main Street for you to stop in and check out. Don’t forget to stop at the Chamber Booth to get your tshirt and one of our traditional “buttons” that gives you several opportunities to win prizes from the local shops and also a few from the chamber. Sunday the volleyball tournament takes place at the park.
