Spiggie Open Day

Spiggie Open Day is back for it's second year!

The RSPB Shetland Team are hosting a range of family-friendly nature activities in the RSPB Loch of Spiggie Hide and on Scousburgh Sands, PLUS we will be joined by Miss Sprinkles ice cream van, 2 Guys food truck and there will be facepainting from Black Raven Beauty!

Weather: Please dress for the weather, bring water and sunscreen. Weather-related cancellations will be communicated on RSPB Shetland Facebook page.

Accessibility: All-terrain wheelchairs are available to borrow from Ability Shetland. Please arrange in advance. ( https://www.abilityshetland.com/all-terrain-wheelchairs/all-terrain-wheelchairs)

Parking: Landowners have generously opened field parking beside Spiggie Hide.

Toilets: Portaloos provided by Ness Engineering will be located at the beach car park.

Dogs: Please ensure dogs are kept on a lead, and cleaned up after.

Rubbish: Please ensure all rubbish is placed in the bins provided, or taken home with you.

There is a charge for face painting, and food trucks.
