CWAC Community Engagement Session - Sandycroft Farm

A community engagement session has been arranged before the next Norley Parish Council Meeting, to review proposals for an orchard to be run and managed by the Life for a Life Charity on Cheshire West and Chester land at Sandycroft Farm Norley.

Over many years the site could potentially accommodate the planting of approximately 100 - 120 memorial trees. It is intended that planting will be restricted to a variety of native fruiting trees, with the intention of using the site to preserve the provenance of many special heritage varieties from Cheshire and surrounding areas for future generations. The opportunity to plant and dedicate a tree will be restricted to families living within or near to Norley, or with close connections to the village. Life for a Life will maintain the orchard to a high standard, providing interpretation on wildlife and improved access so the area can also be enjoyed by villagers and potentially the local primary school.

The meeting, which will last no more than an hour, will provide the opportunity to see plans, hear more about the Life for a Life Charity, and ask questions about how the site could operate. If you can find the time to attend please come along to hear more about this exciting community initiative.

I very much look forward to seeing you.
