ON THIS DAY WE HONOR CRAIG PLAYFORD.For over one half of a century, Craig Playfordh as been a driving force in music and music education in the Mid-Michigan area. Craig’s influence reaches far beyond our area and transcends any calendar. Craig is an accomplished musician that embraced his instrument, the Hammond B3. He has performed throughout the country in various formats. At the local level, Playford began his musical journey as a manager for Grinnell Brothers eventually owning and operating his own music store in Jonesville and for the past 30s years in Jackson. Throughout his years, Craig maintained his promise to music education and collaboration with many surrounding public and private school districts. His energy and positive influence have been a part of hundreds of thousands of musicians and their families. This Sunday, September 21, 2025, will be a day set aside to honor one so dedicated to others. Don’t miss this.
