Rocks and Ripples in Watercolour: A Coastal Art-Geology Workshop

Join geologist and artist Phoebe Sleath on a guided evening walk around Greyhope Bay, where you will explore the rocky coastal landscape through confident and colourful watercolour sketches. Phoebe will talk you through mixing colours, how to control the paint and water with a waterbrush, and how to create depth. You will use water-based pastels to add texture and movement to your paintings. On the walk, we will interpret and learn about lots of different geological features; metamorphic rocks, folding and faulting and coastal erosion.
