Exploring Sellars Farm State Archaeology Area

Sellars Farm State Archaeological Area in Lebanon is considered one of the best preserved Native American villages in the Southeast. But did you know that it also features a superb variety of plants, animals and other natural wonders?

Join Ranger Shauna, the Park Interpretive Ranger at Cedars of Lebanon State Park for a relaxing stroll to explore this area's diversity. The site features unique trees (including Bur Oak and Musclewood), stunning wildflowers (Wild Blue Phlox, Miami Mist), the rare Tennessee Clubtail Dragonfly, and many splendid views of beautiful Spring Creek.

Total hiking distance will be less than two miles. The flat trails are a mix of shade and sun, so don't forget sun protection and water. Insect repellent might be a good idea, too. No pets, please.

Please keep in mind that this will not be a fast-paced hike. We will stop frequently to examine and discuss the area's natural features.

Cost is $5 per person.

Sellars Farm is located off of exit 239 (Watertown) on I-40 east. Poplar Hill Rd is approximately 1 1/2 miles on the left
