Abby Volta, Seagarden

Abby Volta is an emerging singer-songwriter and bassist. She defies typical genre boundaries and considers herself Gothic Alt Rock. Fusing poetic lyrics with driving bass lines, Volta’s music tells meaningful stories with themes of feminism and queerness. She pulls from multiple genres and is best described as a mix of Fiona Apple and Siouxsie and the Banshees. Currently Abby is pursuing a Bachelors in Music Business Management at Berklee College of Music. While at school she has played shows around New England and New York. Her singles “Noble Beast” and “Rabbit Catcher” take inspiration from feminist literature with a gothic alt-rock sound. Her latest single “Bela Lugosi” was released May 3rd.

With chiming guitars, retro keys, and a rocksteady rhythm section, this Rhode Island five-piece brings the sounds of the English indie rock heyday to New England.
