Did you know that Toohey Forest has recently been made a designated bouldering/climbing area? To make this happen, Brisbane City Council has recently upgraded tracks and installed signage in these areas!
Never been bouldering before? First time climbing outdoors? No stress. Our guides are here to help you through every step of the way. We’ll see you on the 26th of July for a free outdoor boulder workshop, and of course some bouldering time. Already an avid boulderer? Bring along your mats if you have them, Pinnacle will provide some mats and shoes on the day.
So come along on the 26th of July, have a boulder, check out the signage, learn about spotting and mat placement with Pinnacle Sports. ACAQ (Australian Climbing Association Queensland) will also be on hand to answer any questions from the community and provide education about the best practice and etiquette when climbing in the great outdoors!
Need to Know:
Date: Saturday 26th July
Time: 2pm to 5pm
Duration: 3 hours
Meeting Point: (Toohey Picnic Area off Toohey Road,Nathan)
Bring: Climbing Shoes, Boulder Mats (Pinnacle Sports will have some mats available)
Wear: Enclosed Shoes, clothes that allow freedom of movement
Parking: Limited car parks available, consider carpooling, walking or cycling to the event.
