Bookbinding + Flower Pounding

Create a one-of-a-kind journal in this class from artist JoAnna Jackson of Nestfeathers. You will learn two techniques as you create a 6” x 4” journal perfect for pencil, ink and paint, including watercolor paint. You will learn the art of bookbinding as you adhere two types of paper together using the lay-flat stitch. The cover for your journal will be made using the Japanese technique of flower pounding called tataki zome. All supplies are provided, and you will leave with your flower pounded creations and a finished journal.
