Awana Community Planting Day - July 2025

In order to help protect two rare native plant species located at Awana, a plant restoration project is underway along the Auckland Council esplanade land adjacent to the Awana stream and DOC managed paddock.
This year we have around 350 plants to put in at that site - so come along and help us on Wednesday 16 July at 9am.
Bring a good spade and a flax sickle if you have one. Parking is limited so park at the side of the road at the entrance to the DOC campground. Planting will be followed by tea and cake at Barryβs house at 11am.
