I'm super excited to present Full Moon Rhythm. Cairns Djembes first community West African drumming event of 2025. This gathering will be on Saturday August 9 from 5-9pm at the Koah Hall.
All Djembe enthusiasts are welcome to this interactive evening with extra djembes provided. The evening schedule will be as follows.
5pm Doors open
5:15pm Welcome and acknowledgement of country
5:20pm Facilitated drum circle with Jeff Cotter. Beginners welcome.
6pm Soup and bread
6:15pm Cairns and Atherton drum community performances
7pm Drum circle around the fire
8pm Djansa Headlining

Your host, Jeff Cotter (FB:Cairns Djembe) teaches weekly African drumming classes in Cairns and fortnightly in Atherton. He prides himself in providing inclusive drumming environment, drum as one with all abilities catered for. He also performs with Djansa, Cairns based rhythm ensemble.
