Zeki Jindyl
Med saxofon, sang og lyddesign skaber Zeki Jindyl komplekse, stemningsfulde kompositioner i et felt mellem jazz, R&B, ambient og avantrock. Musikken er teksturbaseret, collagepræget og emotionelt intens, og bevæger sig i et spændingsfelt mellem skønhed og kaos. Blandt inspirationskilderne er Frank Ocean, Arca og Umm Kulthum.

Bag navnet Deirdre står sangskriver Joakim Johnsen, der forener 90’ernes slackerrock og shoegaze med elektroniske lag og et nutidigt take på singer-songwriter-traditionen. Teksterne rummer umiddelbare reflektioner over hverdagslivet, og kredser om emner som længsel, ensomhed og tvivl.
Quiet Sonia

Pink Cotton Candy Records is a small, friendly Copenhagen-based indie label – non-genre-based in our musical curation and committed to adventurous, emotionally resonant and free-thinking music - releasing alternative, experimental music from our cherished local underground scene. We’re celebrating five years and twenty releases with a label night at Råhuset.
ZEKI JINDYL is a Copenhagen-based saxophonist, singer, multi-instrumentalist and composer known for his intense and wide-ranging playing style. Drawing from R&B, jazz, ambient, post-metal and avant-rock - blending ambient minimalism with intricate rhythmic interplay - Zeki crafts performances that explore musical boundaries, balancing melodic fragments with experimental textures. His music draws from producer-driven collage aesthetics, where texture and sound design hold equal weight with melody, seamlessly shifting between cinematic soundscapes and moments of laser-focused vocal intensity. Zeki's artistic approach embraces imperfection, unconventional song structures and genre hybrids, with inspirations spanning from Bell Witch, Kayo Dot and Arca to Umm Kulthum and Frank Ocean.
DEIRDRE is the musical alias of Copenhagen-based songwriter Joakim Johnsen. Drawing inspiration from ’90s slacker rock, emo, grunge, and shoegaze - combined with a modern, experimental, layered, and electronically manipulated approach to folk-rock and singer-songwriter traditions - Deirdre (named after a tragic heroine from Irish folklore) creates boundary-pushing, melodic, and intimate contemporary indie rock for the present day. With a warm and confessional vocal tone - yet at times slightly absurd, ironic, and emotionally distanced - Johnsen’s lyrics offer unfiltered and immediate reflections on everyday life, providing unique personal perspectives on familiar emotions like longing, loneliness, and doubt. Influenced by artists such as Elliott Smith, Alex G, Built to Spill, and Elvis Depressedly, Deirdre released their debut album ‘Heart Work’ in 2023 on Pink Cotton Candy. Deirdre is currently working on new material and looks forward to presenting it live with the same presence, edge, and honesty that defines the project’s sound and universe.
QUIET SONIA is a Copenhagen-based chamber-rock/avant-folk ensemble that, at its fullest, comprises up to 10 musicians. Quiet Sonia plays big, sprawling yet intimate and highly dynamic music characterized by imaginative melodic songcraft, intricate detailled arrangements, sonic experimentation and a strong emotional core. With roots in the alternative folk tradition and the many branches of indie rock - from shoegaze and post-rock to post-punk and jangle pop - as well as traces of the musicians’ other passions (including jazz, ambient, and classical minimalism), Quiet Sonia creates a genre-defying sound, from pitch-black, anxious and somber to hopeful, dreamy and majestic. For this show at Råhuset, Quiet Sonia will perform in a duo format featuring Nikolaj Bruus (vocals, guitar) and Thea Thorborg (violin), presenting a set that includes new material from their forthcoming album.
