Join us for rock climbing on the Town Square! Whether it’s your first time climbing or you are a seasoned adventurer, experienced staff will be there to help you navigate a mobile climbing wall!
THRIVE Appalachia teens will also be there to delight you with a 10-minute performance of the original play, "A Peanut Butter Story", written and directed by local 16-year old Kayla Cody and performed by THRIVE's teen theater ensemble. In addition, the next generation of blue grass musicians and singers will enthrall you with THRIVE's new teen blue-grass ensemble, under the direction of THRIVE's Music Director, Kevin Scanlon.
Then behold the creative genius of improvisational theater games using audience suggestions! Come experience the magic of Yancey's teen-led renaissance! After Thrive’s performance join Morgan in REFIT dance! Plus enjoy the AMY Regional Library Bookmobile!
This event is sponsored by THRIVE Appalachia, Yancey County Government, Yancey County Sheriff’s Department, and Yancey Emergency Management.
We appreciate the generous support of AdventHealth, Yancey County, and the Town of Burnsville that makes the 2025 Sizzlin' Summer Series possible.
Keep an eye on PATH's Facebook Page for the rest of the fun, free summer events during the Sizzlin' Summer Series!
